This itinerary is for the travellers who love to see more detail about Myanmar while visiting the tour highlights. You will enjoy the different landscapes of Myanmar, plain, desert, lake, mountains throughout Myanmar. Travelling by car, flight, private boat, trishaw and horse carriage will make your tour to be diverse.

The tour embarks from Yangon. You will experience the colonial atmosphere in Yangon and visit the museum, market and the world impressive monument, Shwedagon pagoda.

Then fly to Bagan. Visit the world’s heritage site Bagan with thousands of ancient monuments. It is the biggest archaeological site in South-east Asia.

You will continue to formal royal city Mandalay through one night stop at Monywa by car.And visit Sagaing on the way. Mandalay is also known as cultural city. Visit its monasteries, pagodas and traditional work shops.

Fly to Heho,then you visit Pindaya cave which is house to over 8400 Buddha statues from different period.Then continue to Inle Lake. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Inle Lake, Indein, Sagar, floating garden, stilt house villages by boat which is really unforgettable.Fly back to Yangon and visit Golden Rock through Bago.

Details Itinerary

Day 1 (Arrival)
Arrival in Yangon! Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel. After making a pause, our guide will bring you to enjoy the welcome dinner with traditional theatre. Overnight in Yangon!

Day 2- Yangon
In the morning your tour guide will take you full day sightseeing in Yangon. The tour starts at the city centre. You will be firstly introduced the Buddhism at the gilded Sule pagoda, dating back to 2000 years. Then stroll around the colonial buildings and street vendors along the road. After visiting Botataung Pagoda where you can see the relief chamber inside the pagoda, visit Kyauk-htet-gyi reclining Buddha, 72 m long and 19 m high, Karaweik Hall to observe the Burmese architecture. Visit afterward China Town and magnificent Shwe-da-gon Pagoda in the evening. Overnight in Yangon!

Day 3 Yangon - Bagan
Fly to Bagan, ancient capital of Myanmar. It is now one of the biggest archaeological sites in Asia, over 2000 ancient temples and stupas are dotted in the plain land. Visit Nyaung Oo market, Shwezigon Pagoda where the relic of Buddha are enshrined, Kyansit Umin and Gupyauk gyi Temples to see the remaining 12 century mural painting, then Htilominlo Temples which is 4 storey temples beautifully decorated with the stucco. Enjoy the Bagan panoramic view from one of the temple and visit famous Ananda Temple. After lunch, visit to the traditional Lacquer-ware workshop to observe how they make good quality Lacquer products, Manuhar Temple, where three huge seated Buddha and reclining Buddha are placed, Gubyauk gyi, the finest Fresco in Bagan temples, Shwe-gu-gyi, the best panoramic view at the evening. Then take a horse cart to Pya-that -gyi for sunset. Overnight in Bagan!

Day 4 -Bagan
You adjust the tour programme for today with your tour guide. A car, bicycles and our tour guide stand by for sightseeing. You can enjoy the sunrise from your hotel or near if you are fit and fresh in the morning and you can freely visit the temples by bicycle or visit some temple such as Phaya Thonezu, Su-lar-ma-ni, Dha-ma-yan-gyi, by car with our guide. Overnight in Bagan!

Day 5 –Bagan-Monywa (en route)
Route to Kya Su Kyinn (about 1h1/2). After visiting the ancient temples in KyaSuKyinn, continue to Monywa. Check in the hotel and overnight in Monywa.

Day 6 –Monywa-Sagaing-Mandalay
Transfer to the jetty and across the Chindwin River by private boat. Then route to the phowin taung site (about 1h) where the Buddha Images in the caves carved from the rocky hills. This extraordinary complex consists of 947 sandstone caves dug out of the hills and contains what is considered by archaeologists to be the richest collection of mural paintings in South-east Asia. Return to Moanywa and route to Thanboddhay pagoda which is beautifully decorated with the stuccowork. It is also unique for its more than 580,000 Buddha images covering every wall and archway. Continue to Mandalay and visit Sagaing on the way if the time permits. Overnight in Mandalay!

Day 7 –Mandalay-Amarapura
Route to Amarapura, one of the ancient cities around Mandalay (45 min). Visit famous U Pein teak bridge, silk weaving workshop and Mahar Gandaryon monastery, where over 1000 monks live, observe the Buddhist monk life. Return to Mandalay and visit Maha-muni Image which is paid homage as alive and very thick gilded. After lunch, continue your sightseeing to Mandalay royal Palace, Shwe Nan Daw monastery, the original building of Palace, Kutho Taw pagoda, known as the world’s biggest book and Sandar-muni Pagoda, for taking nice photo from there, then drive up the Mandalay hill to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and sunset. Overnight in Mandalay!

Day 8- Mandalay-Mingun
After breakfast, visit famous Mahar-muni Pagoda, stone carving, gold leaf work shop and Shwe-in-bin monastery. Ask your tour guide, if you want to experience sitting local tea shop as sitting at the local tea shop may something memorable. After lunch, you will make a short calm boat ride to Mingun across the Ayeyarwaddy. Relax on the private small boat for an hour, you arrive Mingun. Visit giant Mingun pagoda, the third biggest Bell and Mya- thein-tan temple on foot. Your day ends up with beautiful sunset on boat for today.

Day 9- Mandalay-Pindaya-Kalaw
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Heho, then en route to Pindaya Cave where thousands of ancient Buddha are placed. After visiting Pindaya cave, small local umbrella workshop and its region, continue to Kalaw by car. Check in the hotel in Kalaw.

Day 10 –Light trekking to the villages
Kalaw – Myin-sai-kone trekking for 15 km. It may take 6 h walk to visite the Palaung villages. Observe the traditional local houses and way of their lives and their plantations. Lunch at the local home and return to Kalaw!

Day 11 –Leisure day in Kalaw

Day 12-Kalaw-Inle
After visiting Kalaw local market, continue to Inle about 2 h by car. On the way, photo stop at Shwe-yan-pyay wooden monastery. You arrive at the jetty to transfer to your Hotel on the lake by motor boat. After check in the hotel, explore the floating gardens and stilt-house villages, jumping cat monastery (ngaphe) and village life at Khaung-dein village. Go back to Hotel.

Day 13 –Inle-Indein
You take a boat ride to Indein through the floating gardens, rice field, bamboo forest and monasteries. Very nice boat ride along the stream. Arrive at Indein pagoda complex, 1094 small temples around the main temple. Go back to the lake for Lunch. After lunch continue your tour to Inn-paw-kone village to visit silk weaving, Lotus weaving, cheroot workshop, blacksmith and the most venerated Phaw-daw-oo pagoda.

Day 14-Inle-Sagar
Depart to the direction of Sagar by motor boat (about 2h) along the ancient pagodas and stilt villages. Sagar is situated in the southern part of Inle which is dotted by the ancient temples. Visit Sagar and enjoy the scenery of Sagar region and return to Inle Lake afterward. Overnight in Inle.

Day 14-Inle-Yangon
In the morning, visit one of the five day foods Market in Inlay. Then walk to the Taw-ya monastery, located on the small hill, to enjoy the scenery of Inle region. Back to hotel and make a pause. In the afternoon, leave the peaceful Inle region and fly back to Yangon.

Day 14-Day 16: Yangon-Golden Rock (route)
Route to Golden Rock pagoda. It is one of the most interesting and sacred Pagoda in Myanmar, located on the 1100 m high mountain range, 161 km from Yangon. Upon arrival in the base of the mountain, proceed directly to the second Base Camp by truck. Then climb up about 50 minutes to reach the top of Kyaikhtiyo Mountain. Visit Golden Rock pagoda and enjoy the sunset. Overnight in Golden Rock!

Day 17: Golden Rock - Bago_Yangon (route)
After breakfast, return to Yangon with a stop in the old Mon city (Bago). The small city is really bustling with the bicycle, tri-shawl, motorcycle, three-wheel motorcycle and horse-cart. And the different religious monuments are remarkable beside the main road such as, mosque, Hindu temple, Chinese temple, monastery and temple. Visit ShweThaLyaung reclining image, ShweMawDaw pagoda, KanBawZaThardi palace and KyeikPun pagoda. Back to Yangon in the evening! Overnight in Yangon!

Day 18 (Your departure)
Transfer to the Yangon International airport for your flight back home. You leave the wonderful Myanmar and your trip is ended.
