This itinerary is arranged for the travelers who want to experience the cultural highlight of the land and light trekking to the tribe villages to explore their traditional ways of life.

The tour starts at Yangon, the formal capital of Myanmar with its colonial buildings.

Then the tour continues to ancient Bagan by flight. Bagan is dotted with thousands of ancient temples and pagodas on the plain land which will lead to unbelievable view and deep impression.

Explore to Kalaw, Pindaya, Inle Lake by car through the hazy mountains.

From Inle Lake continue to Kyaing Tong by flight to observe the traditional lifestyle of tribe (Akha, Ann, Lisu) villages while doing light trekking. It is known as golden triangle area, near China, Laos and Thailand.

Your final destination is the cultural Mandalay city with its monasteries, temples. A short boat ride to Mingun will get you a glimpse of local river life.

Details Itinerary


Day 1 (your arrival)
Arrival in Yangon! Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel. After making a pause, our guide will bring you to enjoy the warmly welcome dinner with traditional theatre. Overnight in Yangon!

Day 2 in formal capital, Yangon
In the morning your tour guide will take you full day sightseeing in Yangon. The tour starts at the city centre; You will be firstly introduced the Buddhism at the gilded Sule pagoda, dating back to 2000 years, next to the British-Burmese style city hall, then stroll around the colonial buildings and street vendors along the road. After visiting BotataungPagoda, where you can see the relief chamber, continue to Kyauk-htet-gyi reclining Buddha, 72 m long and 19 m high, Karaweik Hall to observe the Burmese architecture, then China Town. Then visit to the magnificent Shwe-da-gon Pagoda both daylight and night light.
Overnight in Yangon!

Day 3 in Bagan
You fly to Bagan early morning. Visit Nyaung Oo Market, Shwe-zi-gon Pagoda, the most venerated one, Gu-pyauk gyi temple, very nice original fresco, Hti-lo-min-lo Temple, Kah-min-ga, for panoramic view, Ananda Temple, the finest art. After lunch, visit to the traditional Lacquer-ware workshop to observe how they make good quality Lacquer products, Manuhar Temple, where three huge seated Buddha and reclining Buddha are placed, Gubyauk gyi, the finest Fresco in Bagan temples, Shwe-gu-gyi, the best panoramic view at the evening. Then take a horse cart to Pya-that-gyi temple for sunset. Overnight in Bagan!

Day 4 in Bagan (free visit)
You adjust the tour programme for today with your tour guide. A car, bicycles and our tour guide stand by for sightseeing. You can enjoy the sunrise from your hotel or near if you are fit and fresh in the morning and you can freely visit the temples by bicycle or visit some temple such as Su-lar-ma-ni, Dha-ma-yan-gyi, by car with our guide. Overnight in Bagan

Day 5 - Bagan-Popa-Maithilar-Kalaw (Car)
You leave Bagan this morning and continue your trip to Kalaw, located above 1300 m and has very pleasant weather. It is home to the Danu, Palaung and others Shan hill tribes. On the way your guide will show you the palm sugar work and visit famous Mt Popa. And make a stop for lunch at the small town on the way. Arrive in Kalaw in the late evening. Over in Kalaw!

Day 6 -Kalaw-Pindaya-Inle
Visit Kalaw market and continue (1 ½ hours drive) to Pindaya cave, where more than 8400 Buddha images are placed. Lunch will be at a nice restaurant on the Pone-ta-loat Lake. After lunch continue to Inle about 3 hours drive, the gateway for your excursion to the picturesque Inle, surrounded by the mountain ranges. On the way, photo stop at Shwe-yan-pyay wooden monastery. You arrive at the jetty to transfer to your Hotel on the lake by motor boat. Overnight on Inle Lake!

Day 7 in Inle
Visit one of the Five Day market in Inle region if there is. And stroll around the Khaung Dein village to observe the village life, Soya paste making, roasted bean making, etc. Then explore to the floating gardens and stilt-house villages, jumping cat monastery (ngaphe). Go back to Hotel and relax. Overnight on Inle Lake!

Day 8 in Inle-Inndein
This morning you make a boat ride to Indein through the floating garden, rice field, bamboo forest and monasteries beside. Very nice boat ride along the stream. Arrive at Indein pagoda complex, 1094 small temples around the main temple. Go back to the lake for Lunch. After lunch continue your tour to Inn-paw-kone village to visit silk weaving, Lotus weaving, cheroot workshop, blacksmith and the most venerated Phaw-daw-oo pagoda.
Overnight on Inle!

Day 9 -Inle-Kyaing-tong
You leave Inle and fly to Kyaing Ton for three nights to explore the ethnic villages where Akha, Ann, Wa, Lahu and Shi tribes live. They are contact less with the modern world. Upon on your arrival, explore the small beautiful town.
Overnight in Kyaing Tong!

Day 10 in Kyaing Tong
Today you explore to the Wa, Lahu and Shi village. Drive about 45 minutes to Wa tribes village through the rice field. Then explore the Lahu and Shi villages by trekking. Lunch is on the way with lunch-box. Drive back to hotel in the evening. Overnight in Kyaing Tong!

Day 11 in Kyaing Tong
After Breakfast, you start your trip to Pin Tauk, starting point for going trekking to Akha, Ann and Lahu tribe villages. They people live on the higher hill slopes. Picnic Lunch at water fall and you continue to other villages and drive back to the hotel in the evening. Overnight in Kyaing Tong!

Day 12 -Kyaing-tong-Mandalay
You leave the golden triangle region and fly to the second largest city Mandalay, Burmese trade and cultural centre. Here you will notice the different between Yangon and Mandalay, the weather, the people, the streets, etc. The people in Mandalay are more direct as well as the streets.
After lunch, continue your sightseeing to Mandalay royal Palace, Shwe Nan Daw monastery, the original building of Palace, Kutho Taw pagoda, the world’s biggest book and Sandar-muni Pagoda, for taking nice photo from there, then drive up the Mandalay hill to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and sunset. Overnight in Mandalay!

Day 13 -Amarapura-Inwa-Mingun
This morning you will be driven to the ancient capital Amarapura. Visit U Pein teak Bridge, 1.3 km long, silk weaving workshop and Mahar Gandaryon monastery, where over 1000 monks live, observe the monk life there. Then continue to another ancient capital, Inwa. After passing the river, take a horse cart and explore the ancient capital, where the suffering temples are dotted.
After lunch, you will make a short cool boat ride to Mingun across the Ayeyarwaddy. Relax on the private small boat for an hour, you arrive Mingun. Visit giant Mingun pagoda, the third biggest Bell and Mya-thein-tan temple on foot. Today your day end up with beautiful sunset on boat. Overnight in Mandalay!

Day 14 in last royal city Mandalay
Before leaving Mandalay, visit the rest of the sightseeing, famous Mahar-muni Pagoda, stone carving, gold leaf work shop. You can ask your tour guide, if you want to experience sitting local tea shop and relax your last evening in Myanmar. Overnight in Mandalay!

Day 15 -Departure)
