This wonderful combination program of Myanmar, Thailand and Laos is for the travellers who are especially interesting in the Asian simple lifestyles.

You will have the amazing visit to Shwedagon Pagoda and ancient temple in Bagan which will bring you back to 11 century of it glory days. Discover the local lifestyle of central Myanmar in a village on the way to Mt Popa.

Explore the stilt houses villages on the Inle lake and colourful local markets on boat ride. You don’t miss the Pindaya cave and Mingun visit to see the gaint bell and pagoda. You will see the activities of Buddhist monks while visiting the monastery for over 1000 monks in Amarapura.

Fly to ChaingMai from Mandalay and you will have the wonderful visit to the hill tribes villages, colourful local market, night bazaar and golden trangle region. And two days boat trip in Mekhaung with the local people will add you different experience of travelling.

Details Itinerary

Day 1. (Arrival in Yangon)
Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon!

Day 2. in Yangon
Breakfast at hotel. Your tour guide will take you full day sightseeing in Yangon. The tour starts at the city centre. You will be firstly introduced the Buddhism at the gilded Sule pagoda, dating back to 2000 years. Then stroll around the colonial buildings and street vendors along the road. Visit Botataung Pagoda where you can see the relief chamber inside the pagoda, Kyauk-htet-gyi reclining Buddha, 72 m long and 19 m high, Karaweik Hall to observe the Burmese architecture, then China Town. Visit to the magnificent Shwe-da-gon Pagoda in the late evening. Overnight in Yangon!

Day 3. Yangon- Bagan
Fly to Bagan. Visit Nyaung Oo Market, Shwe-zi-gon Pagoda, the most venerated one, Gu-pyauk gyi temple, very nice original fresco, Hti-lo-min-lo Temple, Kah-min-ga, for panoramic view, Ananda Temple, the finest art. After lunch, visit to the traditional Lacquer-ware workshop to observe how they make good quality Lacquer products, Manuhar Temple, where three huge seated Buddha and reclining Buddha are placed, Gubyauk gyi, the finest Fresco in Bagan temples, Shwe-gu-gyi, the best panoramic view at the evening. Then take a horse cart to Pya-that -gyi for sunset.

Day 4. Bagan-Mt Popa-Bagan
Depart for mt Popa. It takes about 1 ½ hours from Bagan to get there. Stop at the the local palm sugar work and Popa village on the way to Mt Popa. Take 777 steps to the top and enjoy the panoramic view of the Popa region. Return to Bagan in the afternoon. Visit some beautiful temples such as Su-lar-ma-ni, Dha-ma-yan-gyi on horse cart in the evening until sunset. Overnight in Bagan!

Day 5. Bagan – Heho-Pindaya-Inle
Today you fly to Heho, then en route to Pindaya Cave where thousands of ancient Buddha is placed. Enjoy the panoramic view along the road and contact the local life styles. After visiting Pindaya cave and small local umbrella work shop, continue to Inle by car. On the way, photo stop at Shwe-yan-pyay wooden monastery. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel on the lake by motor boat. Check in and overnight on Inle lake!

Day 6. Inle
Inle Lake is the perfect place to explore the typical rural lifestyles, with boat rides to lively markets and floating villages. Explore the floating gardens and stilt-house villages, jumping cat monastery (ngaphe) and Khaung-dein village on motor boat. Go back to hotel and overnight on Inle Lake!

Day 7. Inle - Indein
You take a boat ride to Indein this morning through the floating gardens, rice fields, bamboo forest and the monasteries. Very nice boat ride along the stream. Arrive at Indein pagoda complex, 1094 small temples around the main temple. Go back to the lake for Lunch. After lunch continue your tour to Inn-paw-kone village to visit silk weaving, Lotus weaving, cheroot workshop, blacksmith and the most venerated Phaw-daw-oo pagoda. Overnight on Inle Lake!

Day 8. Inle-Mandalay
In the morning, visit one of the five day foods Market in Inlay. Then walk to the Taw-ya monastery, located on the small hill, to enjoy the scenery of Inle region. Back to hotel and make a pause. In the afternoon, leave the peaceful Inle region and fly to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay!

Day 9. Mandalay
Mandalay the second largest city and it is Burmese cultural centre. Visit U Pein teak bridge, silk weaving workshop and Mahar Gandaryon monastery, where over 1000 monks live, observe the monk life there. Continue your sightseeing to Mandalay royal Palace, Shwe Nan Daw monastery, the original building of Palace, Kutho Taw pagoda, the world’s biggest book and Sandar-muni Pagoda, for taking nice photo from there, then drive up the Mandalay hill to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and sunset. Overnight in Mandalay!

Day 10. Mandalay-Mingun
After breakfast, visit famous Mahar-muni Pagoda, stone carving, gold leaf work shop and Shwe-in-bin monastery. Ask your tour guide, if you want to experience sitting local tea shop, sitting at the tea shop is a part of Burmese life! After lunch, you will make a short calm boat ride to Mingun across the Ayeyarwaddy. Relax on the private small boat for an hour,then you arrive Mingun. Visit giant Mingun pagoda, the third biggest Bell and Mya- thein-tan temple on foot. Today your day end up with beautiful sunset on boat. Overnight in Mandalay!

Day 11. Mandalay-ChaingMai, Thailand
Ava sightseeing in the morning then transfer to the Mandalay International airport for your international flight to ChaingMai. Upon arrival, check in the hotel. Explore the night market on your own and overnight in Chaingmai!

Day 12. ChaingMai-ChaingRai
After breakfast, depart to Chaing Rai. On the way, visit deep and dark caverns of Chiang Dao cave. Then continue to visit the multi tired Thaton temple to enjoy great panoramic view. After lunch, depart to Yapah village to see the Padaung tribes and then to the Akha village. and then on up to the Chinese community on Doi Mae Salong to explore the tea plantations. Check in the hotel in Ching Rai and visit to Chiang Rai Night bazaar on your own. Ching Rai night bazaar is an excellent spot for some craft shopping as well as a good place to try some local Thai food while enjoying the entertainments. Overnight in Chaing Rai!

Day 13. Chaing Rai-Chaing Sean-Chaing Rai
Depart for Chiang Sean situated on the banks of the Mekong River to visit Chedi Luang a remnant temple. Continue to the Golden Triangle area of Burma, Laos and Thailand to take a boat ride on the Mekong River which border with Myanmar and stop on the Laos Island of Don Sao and Thai border town of Mae Sai to visit the Mae Sai colourful border market. Return to Chiang Rai and visit the White temple,(Wat Rong Khun) and Mae Khajan hot springs on the way. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 14. Chaing Rai-Chaing Kong
You will be picked up at 10:00am from your hotel for the 4 hour drive to Chiang Kong. Drop in your hotel. Free to explore this Mekong Riverside town in the rest of the day. Overnight in Chaing Kong!

Day 15. Chaing Kong-Pakbang
After breakfast, leave to the Thai Immigration post on the Mehkong to get the departure stamp and across the Mekong on a long tail boat to the Laos Immigration Post to get your Laos visa and to join with the boat depart for Luang Prabang at 10 am. Experience the boat ride down on the Mekong to Pakbang. Transfer to the hotel around 17 h and overnight in Pakbang.

Day 16. Pakbang-Luang Prabang
Transfer to the boat stand. The boat departs for Luang Prabang from Pakbeng at 09:00am stream down on the Mekong River. Upon your arrival in Luang Prabang at 5 pm in the evening, you will be transferred and heck in the hotel. Visit the Night Market on your own in the late evening, where you can browse a lovely selection of handmade textiles, made by the local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang!

Day 17. Luang Prabang - Pak Ou cave - Khouangsi Waterfall
After breakfast, visit Phosi local Market , Wat Sene temple and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong temple to see the classical Laotian architecture. Afterward take a cruise upstream on the Mekong River to enjoy the panaromic view of the countryside and to visit to the Pak Ou Caves placed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon and take a short visit to Ban Phanom village well known for its hand weaving. Continue to Khouangsi Waterfall by car and visit local villages on the way. After visiting the waterfall, return back to Luang Prabang . Visit a village well known for silk hand weaving and for traditional Paper making if the time permit! Overnight in Luang Prabang!

Day 18. Luang Prabang - Vientiane
Visit central Market and National Museum, displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture. Then fly to Vientiane in the afternoon. After check in the hotel, visit Buddha Park, a scattered enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures on the Mekong riverside. There are approximately 200 religious images dating back over 500 years. Sunset over the Mekong river. Overnight in Vientiane!

Day 19. Vientiane - City Tour
After breakfast, visit the Morning Market and the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong. Then continue to the major sights of the Vientiane including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Continue to That Luang Stupa. Photo stop at Patuxay Monument on the way and visit That Luang Stupa. Sunset and overnight in Vientiane!

Day 20. Vientiane - Departure
Transfer to airport before your return flight home. Your excellent Myanmar ChaingMai Laos Trip is ended !!
